I have one more class to finish before I have my degree (*huzzah!*), and it's being offered in July and August. Unfortunately, it looks like I'm going to be a bit short on the funding, and McDonald's doesn't seem to want me no matter how much I hide my resume...so I'm officially offering myself as a mercenary for hire.

Have a nasty monstrosity of a garage that you want to tame or need a valiant soul to help you move furniture? Need to slay demon on your Windows box, or solve a Linux quest? Want a techno-mage to conjure you a personal web page or spruce up your MySpace? Need a scribe to type up your documents or want a Cinderella who will cook, clean, or sew garb for you? Or perhaps you just want to laugh at me while I tap dance in a chicken suit? (Note: chicken suit not provided)

Then I'm the mercenary for you! For 10 gold coins of the realm (USD) you can have my brawn and my brains at your service for a turn of the hour-glass. Act now to reserve your all-purpose mercenary!

I'm guessing that you're interested in a programming resume, rather than, say, my costuming and theatre or my office resume. Would it be okay to contact you at the Gmail address listed on your profile?

Programming/sysadmin, yeah. Go ahead and contact me there.

I was just curious what your qualifications are. The company I'm at is hiring like crazy, but we're not in a position to hire junior anything just yet.

Perhaps looking for a PM? Maybe?

I think we just filled the one position we had for that, but feel free to check out imvu.com/jobs/ for anything else.

If you lived anywhere near Chicago I'd totally take you up on some of this.

You're right about the distance being a problem -- I imagine it would cost more in gas than any value my services could provide. Still, thanks for the sentiment!

How do you feel about heavy lifting? I'll be needing to move rocks around in the nearish future.

I'm not ready for it just yet (I'm still patching leaks in the pond), but when I am, I'll want other people to do the lifting thanks to a healing back. That's a plural "people" as in "you can bring Matt and I'll pay him too". Or not. Whatever works out.

Absolutely! Matt's availability may be a little more constricted, but I'm fairly open. Just let us know when you think you might be wanting us to help on your project, and good luck recuperating! :)

Darn...wish I'd seen this sooner; my company just hired three programming interns.
