That pretty much sums up my view of the current console war. Nintendo FINALLY found a way to outdo Sony at their own game. Create an original method of game play using innovative controllers, then charge less than half the price of your competitor. Even if they have a lower profit margin, they'll still make out like bandits.
Sony lost me as soon as I found out the PS3 wasn't backwards compatible. Nintendo plans on making their entire back catalog playable on the Wii.
Apparently the PS3 now has an update that allows you to play PS2 games. I haven't purchased it myself (I'm still on the PS2), but some friends of ours said they play PS2 games on their PS3 all the time.
Just in case you weren't happy with the Nintendo selection of games. :)
