Dec. 16th, 2007 02:04 pmIntelligent design is the hot topic of the classrooms, the courtrooms, and now, apparently the cinema. Yes, Ben Stein is releasing a movie in 2008 called Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed demanding that academia allow ID to be treated equally as a valid science.

I'm sorry, but I'm feeling a little ill at the moment.
I may watch the movie when it comes to the dollar theater or Netflix, because I've always thought it was important to listen to other viewpoints. But I suspect I'm going to need a lot of antacid tablets, or even Pepto-Bismol...

A book that might amuse people: The Complete Idiot's Guide to Understanding Intelligent Design
The book itself claims to be a neutral evaluation of the issue behind intelligent design, but brief glances inside reveal that it's actually a book throwing out the same old stale creationist arguments and dismissing scientists' arguments because they don't have degrees in theology (as one astute Amazon reviewer commented, doesn't that mean scientists can dismiss theologians under the same argument for evolution?)
